Working on a website

I knew creating a website wouldn't be easy, but it's slowly coming out and I am actually startign to like it. Mostly because I love clean and neat design and squirrels :-)

Work work work

I'm not sure how I'm going to survive this semester, since I will be working on 2 completely different books. The one for school is rather depressing, I'm planning on illustrating one of the great fairy tales by Oscar Wilde. Will see how that turns out. This screenshot comes from the other book, which is supposed to be very optimistic and colorful and is meant to attract little children. So far so good. I guess I'll be on drugs by March :-)

Oh, website ain't my thing...

Not sure if I'm going to use one of these. But I've been trying to design my website lately. I just want to keep it clean and optimistic. These are some of the ideas for the header and the menu, let me know what you think. Click to enlarge.

Dental posters for kids

So here they go, the dental posters. Drawing teeth and cavities wasn't actually all that bad. I was afraid this project would come out as a catastrophe, but it turnes out to look ok :) Click on the posters to enlarge.
Yay! Back to work!

Kid's dental hygiene characters

These days, I have been working on a series of posters on dental hygiene for kids. It's actually more fun than I thought it would be so I hope I will be able to keep up the good work till it's done. Will post more later.

First one in the 2011!

I can't believe this is my first blog post after almost a month. Not that I haven't been working. I did take 10days off in December but now I'm back on track with my new year's resolution: To post more illustations! :-) Enjoy!

Winter illustration numero 2

I made this one for children's magazine Zornicka. Unfortunately, this will be my last contribution to this magazine due to the lack of seriousness of the publisher. Well, moving on!

Winter

Here is one of my newest illustrations on winter.

Finnishing up!

I only have my phone to take pictures with, but I finally am getting everything done. Right now I am enjoying making the stickers and other things that don't necessarily need to be done :-)

A lino-cut school project

I haven't done this technique since I was a kid, but I enjoyed working on these very much. It's not perfect but I'm planning on doing some more during the winter break. Hopeflully will get better soon! :-)

I'm almost done with a new book

It's called The animal alphabet and it's almost finished. I would like to send it to the print on Thursday. Will take pictures of it as soon as it is done. In case any publishers are interested, let me know :-).

Yet another calendar illustration...

.... and yet another autumn topic! I made this illustration for the same calendar that I had made the one before. It was my 4th autumn-halloween-fruit picking illustration in a row and I'm very glad it went quite well.

A calendar page

I made this illustration for a calendar for a company that distributes non-alcoholic drinks. This one is supposed to represent coke Sofocola and the month of April.
