Sneak peek at some new illustrations
The Road Boardbook
Another one from the series, is called A Road, you could have probably guessed it from the pictures :-) This one shows all kinds of roads and vehicles. It was so much fun creating it!
The River Boardbook
Long time no see! I know! Been doing quite a lot of traveling this Summer, I really needed a break. The good news is - I've been able to get back on track and start fresh with new projects on my desk. This one is a cute board-book on how the river goes from the source to the mouth. Hope to see the real thing soon as it is a nice cut out and should look real good once it's done. Until then - a few illos for you to see what's up :-)
Here's what I've been up to these days
The Good News!
I went to the bookstore Today to get a book called Dita illustrated by fabulous Daniela Olejnikova http://www.studiolimb.com/ (the book is lovely btw!) and the cashier was so nice to hand me one piece of the bookstore's paper in which they recommend good books for summer reading. What a nice surprise it was to find my book being recommended by my friend Daniela. Just made my day! Thank you!
Good News for Today!
Happy day! My Big Dino Puzzle for Australian Glottogon won Gold in Best Board Game/Jigsaw at the LBPAwards2014! http://lovedbyparents.com/lovedbyparents-awards-results-2014/
Hakuna Matata!
The Little Dreams
Last night, I have finally finished a book project that I've been working on for quite a while now. It's going to be a big book about jobs and what we wanted to become when we were little. I've met so many kids who said they'd like to become a garbage man when they grow up! Unbelievable! Anyways, here a are a few shots from the book.
On the Beach!
Personal piece for once
Work in progress / Book about all kinds of jobs
So here I am, working still in these horrid temperatures, 36C yesterday here in Bratislava. But this book is fun! I only have 3 more illustrations to go though - not sure why I always leave the most complicated assignments to the last minute (I seriously have no clue how it looks inside of a chocolate factory, google is my best friend now). Will keep you posted on this!
Pecha Kucha Night Trnava
So it seems I can't avoid meeting people forever :-) I'll be talking at the 12th edition of the Pecha Kucha Night in Trnava this Saturday. Event and more info here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1426482337622308/

New Title Ahead!
Recently, I've been working on a new title - I have finally been assigned
a project where I can fully develop these huge seeking illustrations.
The title is about jobs and things that people do. The publisher has
given me wonderful topics and themes to work with and I can't wait to
see how it will come out. Yay!

The Olympics!
Who Lives in Pineapple... oh wait!
A couple of weeks ago I've been assigned a nice little project - illustrated activity book for little kids who go on a vacation with their parents and might get a bit bored on the plane :-) (the client was a travel agent). This is how it turned out. What do you think?
I actually quite like the crocodile at the talent show! Guess who the judges are!
The Book Launch!
My very fist book "Jak velbloud potkal tavu"was launched Yesterday in Maritnus bookstore in Bratislava. It was a very lovely evening, we shared some good laugh and I think everybody had a good time. I can't say how much I'd like to thank the great girls, Lucia Hlubenova from Albatros publishing house and Jana Slinska from the Martinus bookstores, who took care of this lovely event! I am also very happy that Pista Vandal and Dado Nagy agreed to be a part of the launch, they did such a good job on entertaining the crowd! Hope to do this again sometime! Thanks for coming everyone!
